Dani Albertina is a Los Angeles based dancer, choreographer and teacher. Thrilled to travel when judging for Universal Dance Association as well as StarQuest Dance Competitions, she also enjoys freelancing her own master classes and choreography to different regions. Dani specializes in Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Ballet, Salsa, Partnering, Modern and Drill Team. Her exposure to a vast variety of styles is what makes her a competitive force in the industry. Having graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance as well as a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies, Dani combines her skillfulness in dance alongside her psychology expertise to encourage and inspire dancers to push past their boundaries in a healthy, safe, positive, yet challenging environment.
A transplant from the heartland, her artistic voice is an enticing balancing act of being down to earth yet vibrant, relatable, but unique and edgy yet soft. Her work undeniably pays homage to her greater St. Louis jazzy/blues roots-- a movement quality that honors the breadth and structure of classical technique, yet models the quirkiness and grittiness of pedestrian mannerism in a well-rounded style that is hard to ignore. Dani’s choreographic highlights include a Baskin Robbins commercial, Head Choreographer of NYC’s Applause Hip Hop Troupe, Soloist selected to perform at Jennifer Archibald’s, Archcore40 informal showcase, Sol Dance Center’s, Dancesanity Stars, Hip Hop and Ladies Styling Head Choreographer, “Most Entertaining” nominee and first place at Drill Team competitions, Soloist for Ashley Tate’s, Ashleylianne Dance Company, “Lovespell”, The Big Muddy Trainee Program Showcase, and ACDFA’s awarded student piece chosen by faculty.
Her performance credits include Miss Ko International Hip Hop Artist- Music Video, Meredith O'Connor's back up dancer, Good Morning America, National Dance Alliance Nationals, the restaging of Jose Limon’s “Pslam” Piece, a company member in Ashleyliane’s Dance Company under the direction of Ashley Tate, Flash Mob dancer directed by Derek Mitchell, Broadway Dance Center’s student showcase under the direction of Carlos Neto, Solette and Elastic Vegan Company member administered by Karla Choko, American Apparel Spec Commercial and Venus Razor “Swirl” promotional with Julianne Hough.
